On behalf of Dr. David Verdugo, Interim Superintendent of Paramount Unified School District, the following is an update on the storm conditions for Paramount schools.
As a result of the unpredictable storm and weather conditions that are currently affecting the Southland along with our inability as a District to predict the conditions on our school sites and the surrounding areas, and in an effort to keep our students and employees safe, I have made the difficult decision to close schools on Monday, August 21st.
All schools will be open and prepared to receive our students on Tuesday, August 22nd.
The safety of our students and staff is our priority and we remain committed to ensuring everyone's well-being.
